How to get more traffic using Twitter For Business
Twitter.com has produced a lot of attention recently with a army of stars mentioning Twitter on their blogs , and marketing experts saying that we can leverage Twitter to new business leads , the talk about Twitter is hard to avoid . You probably know people who are on Twitter and you may well have received bribes o follow people on Twitter. That leas us to the big question . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?
A lot of people, actually I think most, don’t even “get” Twitter. And that’s partly because it can be many different things to almost as many people. And to some extent, they may even be all true, at least to that person.
Despite what you think of Twitter for yourself, there are opportunities you should deploy and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. The least you’re likely to achieve is a handful of great relationships , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. Some people will just try to type your name on Twitter and see if you come up.
In other articles we talk about how to get noticed for your keyword and how to manage your account for targeted conversion (also covered well in that free video I mentioned earlier) but let’s do something we can do right now.
Many people think of Twitter traffic as coming from within Twitter itself . A concept most Twitter directories also foster. But with Twitter , the advantages of having your existing customers subscribe to you on Twitter are plentiful . So enormous that we need to take action today .
One thing we can do almost immediately is to add a Twitter “badge” to your website, eCommerce store or blog . A Twitter badge is a graphic showing who you are on Twitter with a link direct to your Twitter identity. In the videos , they reveal how , but the badge will get our toe in the water for today .
WHERE CAN I GET MY TWITTER BADGE ?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge at zero cost from this website ;
http://www.TwitterDominator.com/followme_badges.php – FREE Customised Twitter FollowMe Badges .
You just paste the HTML it provides in to your page .
It also works on Wordpress blogs. I’ve placed them on all my blogs.
The Badge is supplied in its own HTML DIV so should live easily almost anywhere.
You can create an HTML table or div layer to house it, then you can just paste the code in easily . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.
There couldn’t be anything easier than using a Twitter badge. And it’s the glue that links your web 2.0 with your normal web. Don’t miss the boat.
